The MLB All-Star game lineup has been announced, featuring surprising choices in some cases. Shohei Ohtani was named captain of the National League, while Aaron Judge led the American League as captain.
Reigning MVP Award winners Ohtani and Judge will lead their respective teams into Atlanta for this year’s game. In the American League, the Detroit Tigers have a strong presence with three starters: second baseman Gleyber Torres, outfielder Riley Greene, and shortstop Jacob Wilson. Catcher Cal Raleigh is also starting in Seattle, marking his first All-Star selection as a starter.
On the National League side, Chicago Cubs center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong will make his debut after leading the league with 25 stolen bases before the break. The Dodgers have multiple starters, including Freddie Freeman at first base and Will Smith behind the plate.
