Prime Minister Modi stated that “History has shown that work does not disappear due to technology.” He also urged the need for investing in people’s skills, particularly in an AI-driven future. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of green power to handle AI’s high-energy intensity.
US Vice President JD Vance supported Prime Minister Modi’s views on AI and warned against excessive regulation. Instead, he advocated for a balanced approach to allow AI to transform industries while ensuring its benefits are shared by all. Vance also expressed concerns about authoritarian regimes exploiting cheap tech and using AI for control.
