Country singer Morgan Wallen will not submit his music for consideration at the 2026 Grammy Awards, according to his team. This decision comes after a year where Wallen received his first-ever Grammy nominations, largely due to his collaboration with Post Malone on “I Had Some Help.” Despite being one of the best-selling artists in the country genre, Wallen has not been well-received by the Recording Academy’s voters.
Wallen’s decision to withdraw is likely due to ongoing criticism and controversy surrounding his past actions, including a 2021 incident involving a racial slur. However, he remains the undisputed biggest country artist in the world, with album “I’m The Problem” spending 11 weeks at the top of Billboard’s 200 Albums chart.
This decision isn’t unusual for the Grammys, which have faced criticism and boycotts from major artists in recent years. In 2021, The Weeknd boycotted the Awards after citing a lack of transparency in voting procedures, but later reconciled with the Academy.
