Moroccan-American Women’s Fatalities in Belize Resort Under Investigation

Three young Moroccan-American women have died under mysterious circumstances at a resort in Belize. Their bodies were discovered by staff on Sunday at the Royal Kahal Resort in San Pedro.

The victims, Kawtar Naqad (23), Iman Mellah (24), and Wafa Alarar (26), had been staying at the resort for several days before their deaths. Authorities found one of them lifeless with yellowish foam over her mouth on a bed, while another was face-down near the bathroom.

Toxicology experts are set to conduct further tests, but initial reports suggest an overdose as the probable cause. Other speculation includes carbon monoxide poisoning and a potential gas leak. Police have found no signs of forced entry or injuries on the women.

The Moroccan Embassy in Mexico has verified the deaths and offered support to the families, while they urge the public to respect their losses and refrain from spreading speculative information. The families have also set up fundraising campaigns to repatriate their loved ones home.

As the investigation continues, the families of the victims are seeking closure and clear answers about the cause of this tragic event.
