Most Americans Disapprove of Trump’s Foreign Policy

A new poll by the Washington-based Pew Research Center reveals that most Americans have a negative view of President Donald Trump’s foreign policy. The survey found that 45% disapprove, while only 35% approve, of Trump’s decision to leave the World Health Organization.

Trump has pursued a distinct approach to international relations, withdrawing from agreements such as the Paris climate accord and ending foreign aid programs. He has also sought closer ties with Russia, which has led to criticism from many Americans.

Regarding his handling of the Ukraine conflict, 43% of respondents believe Trump is favoring Russia too much. In contrast, fewer than half, or 31%, think he is being fair to both Israelis and Palestinians in their conflict.

The poll also explored public opinion on tariffs imposed by Trump on U.S. trading partners. A majority of Americans surveyed (52%) say the levies on China will be bad for them personally, while a similar number (53%) believe they will harm the US economy.

Overall, the survey highlights the divided views on Trump’s foreign policy among Americans. While some support his approach, many others strongly disagree with it. The Pew Research Center surveyed 3,605 U.S. adults from March 24 to 30, and their findings provide a broad picture of American opinions on Trump’s international policies.
