Moto G Stylus 2025 Review: Budget Phone With Upgrades and Bloatware Concerns

Motorola is revamping its budget-oriented stylus phone, the Moto G Stylus 2025, with a new design and improved specs. The phone comes in two bold colors: blue and another blue variant. It features a “leather-inspired” back panel finish and a stacked spec sheet considering its $399 price tag. However, it may come bundled with bloatware.

The device now boasts a chip upgrade to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, which Motorola claims contributes to improved responsiveness compared to last year’s model. The phone also features full IP68 resistance against water immersion, making it more durable than previous years. Notably, it still includes a headphone jack for wired audio.

The Moto G Stylus 2025 sports a large 6.7-inch OLED screen with up to 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels. The camera features a Sony Lytia 50-megapixel sensor, an ultrawide lens, and macro photography capabilities. The phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with fast charging options.

While the Moto G Stylus 2025 has impressive specs, concerns about software updates and bloatware persist. Motorola has not yet commented on these issues. The phone will be available unlocked starting April 17th for $399, with availability at US carriers to follow in the coming months.
