Mount Etna in Sicily Enters Volcanic Alert Stage

Mount Etna, one of the world’s most active volcanoes, has been erupting for several days in Sicily. Italian authorities are closely monitoring the situation due to increased tourist activity. Despite safety measures, conditions remain hazardous near lava flows at an altitude of 1,800 meters.

To manage hikers, local officials have implemented restrictions and issued warnings through social media. Volcanologist Giovanni advises maintaining a distance of 100-200 meters from the volcano to avoid hot stone falls and steam explosions.
