Multiple Food Recalls Impact Consumers Nationwide and Beyond

A growing number of food recalls have been issued in the US, affecting consumers nationwide and beyond. The recalls include products from top brands such as Costco and Kroger.

Over 72,000 pounds of ready-to-eat beef, chicken, and pork were recalled due to a Listeria outbreak connected to contaminated meat. The affected products are labeled with establishment numbers “P-46684” or “EST. M46684”. Eleven illnesses have been linked to the recall, with common symptoms including fever, headache, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and other gastrointestinal issues.

Additionally, more than 10,000 cartons of Kirkland branded eggs sold at Costco were recalled due to possible Salmonella contamination. While no illnesses have been reported in this case, consumers should check their refrigerators for the impacted eggs, which contain a UPC of “9661910680” and a best-by date of January 6, 2025.

A global recall on carrots has also led to the removal of organic and conventional vegetable medleys from stores. The affected products were sold at retailers such as Sprouts Farmers Market, Walmart, and more. Meanwhile, American cucumbers have been recalled in both the US and Canada due to a Salmonella outbreak. Consumers should be aware that these cucumbers may carry a SunFed branded sticker with number “#4062”.

Lastly, a popular bagged salad from Taylor Farms has been recalled in Canada due to possible Salmonella contamination. The affected salad was sold at various retailers across the country.

Consumers are advised to check their refrigerators and pantries for any potentially contaminated products and discard or return them as necessary.
