Mumbai Police Uncovers Bangladeshi Suspect’s Fingerprints at Saif Ali Khan’s Residence

Mumbai Police have discovered up to 19 fingerprints belonging to accused Bangladesi national Mohammed Shariful Islam at the scene of actor Saif Ali Khan’s residence. The fingerprints were found in various locations, including the bathroom window and duct shaft.

The police are confident that these fingerprints will be key evidence against Islam, who is being pursued for his role in the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case. However, the fingerprints do not match anyone in Indian national databases as Islam is not an Indian citizen and entered the country illegally.

Islam had previously confessed to police about his actions and will now recount the events of the incident, including his entrance into the building and escape following an altercation with the actor. The police were able to track Islam’s movements using CCTV footage from various locations before he was identified at a food stall, where they obtained information about his UPI transaction.

This breakthrough comes after authorities tracked Islam’s movements to a labour camp in Thane, following a tip from a witness who identified him at a food stall. The police are now planning to escort Islam back to Saif Ali Khan’s residence as part of their investigation.
