Grimes, the Canadian singer and mother of three children with Musk, took to X (the platform he owns) to urge him to address her child’s medical crisis. She wrote that ignoring this situation was “no longer acceptable” and could result in a life-long impairment if Musk didn’t respond quickly. Grimes is not the only one to call out Musk; conservative influencer Ashley St Clair also took to X to get his attention after claiming he had ignored her calls.
The accusations against Musk have led to him being dubbed a “deadbeat dad” by many users on X. The billionaire, who has 13 children with four women, including some conceived through IVF, has been accused of being a self-proclaimed pronatalist who fails to practice what he preaches when it comes to fatherhood.
Musk’s own family members have publicly criticized his parenting habits. His father, Errol Musk, stated that Elon had “not been a good father” in an interview earlier this month. One of Musk’s children, trans daughter Vivian Wilson, even petitioned a court to change her name and recognize her gender as female due to feeling “relentlessly harassed for my femininity and queerness” by her estranged father.
The situation has raised questions about the billionaire’s commitment to being a father, particularly given his high-profile role in Trump’s administration, which positions itself as a defender of family values.
