Musk’s Impeachment Push May Backfire with Voters

Elon Musk has faced warnings from pollster Mark Mitchell that his calls for impeaching judges who rule against the Trump administration may be unpopular with voters. Mitchell, a commentator at Rasmussen polling firm, told President Donald Trump’s adviser that impeachments are “a loser” as a talking point and that the administration should focus on reforming the court process instead.

Musk has previously said it was necessary to file impeachment articles against judges who blocked the administration’s actions. However, new polling shows that 43% of voters believe the executive branch has too much power, while only 6% think it has too little. A similar trend is seen in the judicial branch, with 28% believing it has too much power and 8% thinking it has too little.

Attorney General Pam Bondi stated that judges ruling against Trump’s orders damaged his authority, putting public safety at risk. Conservative commentator Erick-Woods Erickson described a growing movement among federal judges to make political rulings that overstep their jurisdiction.

The Trump administration has not yet taken action to reform the court process, but is becoming increasingly frustrated with judges who impede their policies. It remains to be seen whether Musk’s push for impeachment will gain traction or alienate voters further.
