Myles Garrett, Maxx Crosby Would Make Lethal Raiders Duo

Myles Garrett’s trade request has sparked speculation about his future with the Cleveland Browns. The reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year is reportedly a logical landing spot for Garrett, who would pair well with Maxx Crosby. CBS Sports’ Tyler Sullivan included the Las Vegas Raiders among his top five destinations for Garrett.

The Raiders have significant cap space ($92.5 million) and are entering a new era under head coach Pete Carroll. However, their quarterback situation is uncertain, which could be a concern for Garrett. If they can secure a capable signal-caller, it would make them an even more attractive destination.

One NFL GM suggested that a first-round draft selection, two third-round picks, and another player could be a potential trade package for Garrett’s services. Alternatively, the Raiders might consider packaging their No. 6 overall selection in 2025, along with two third-round picks, to pair Garrett with Crosby.

Garrett is a dominant force on defense, having led the league in tackles for loss (22) and had 14 sacks this past season. He’s also the Browns’ all-time sacks leader, with 102.5 sacks through his first eight NFL seasons. The pairing of Garrett and Crosby would create an elite pass-rushing duo, potentially transforming the Raiders’ defense into one of the best in the league.

While Garrett’s star power makes sense anywhere, the combination of talent and resources on the Raiders seems like a compelling reason to join the team.
