Scientists have found a high concentration of gamma rays at the centre of our galaxy, the Milky Way. This unusual phenomenon, called the galactic centre gamma-ray excess (GCE), has puzzled researchers. Recently, simulations suggest that these gamma rays could come from dark matter particles annihilating each other.
