NASA astronauts Sunita “Suni” Williams and Barry “Butch” Wilmore, stranded in space since June, recently showed off their holiday cheer aboard the International Space Station. In a December 16 Instagram post, Williams and astronaut Don Pettit flashed smiles while wearing red Santa hats, sparking curiosity among fans about how they obtained Christmas attire after being in orbit for over half a year.
The ISS’s crew managed to acquire festive clothing, including the Santa hats, before embarking on their expedition. These items were likely provided by NASA or pre-packed with the astronauts prior to launch.
