NASA has partnered with industry players for the VIPER (Volatiles Investigating Polar Exploration Rover) mission, a lunar rover designed to explore Jupiter’s icy moon Europa is not mentioned but rather the moon “NASA partners on VIPER moon rover mission” is sent to explore the south pole of the moon. The mission aims to search for water ice and measure its properties. The partnership between NASA and industry players will help accelerate the development and testing of the rover, which is scheduled to launch in 2023.
