NASA Prepares for Moon Journey with Artemis II Mission

NASA is set to embark on its next lunar journey with the Artemis II mission, scheduled to launch in April. The crew of four will embark on a 10-day trip around the moon and back, marking an important step towards establishing a sustained human presence in space.

According to Reid Weissman, mission commander, “Artemis is the right program at the right time to make history.” This mission will serve as a flight test for NASA’s space launch system and Orion spacecraft. If successful, the Artemis III mission will follow, with humans landing on the moon for the first time since 1972.
