NASA’s Psyche asteroid mission has successfully overcome an initial propulsion issue, paving the way for its journey to the metal-rich asteroid 16 Psyche. The spacecraft, launched in 2022, was initially facing challenges with its propulsion system, but a team of engineers at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory made adjustments to resolve the problem. With the issue resolved, the mission is now on track to enter into orbit around 16 Psyche by mid-2025, marking a significant milestone for the asteroid-hunting program.
