Travel issues for teams leaving the Charlotte area have forced NASCAR officials to alter the on-track schedule for this weekend’s events in Mexico City. Two aircraft issues grounded multiple race teams back in North Carolina, delaying their arrival for the first Cup Series event.
The Xfinity Series will now only have one 50-minute practice session on Saturday at 11:05 a.m. ET, down from two Friday practices previously planned. Qualifying will start at 12:10 p.m. ET, followed by The Chilango 150 on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET.
The Cup Series schedule remains largely unchanged, with only two adjustments to its practice sessions. However, the NASCAR Mexico Series events have been rescheduled, taking place on Friday and Saturday at 1:30 p.m. ET and 7 p.m. ET respectively.
