NASCAR drivers will converge on Texas Motor Speedway for a packed schedule on Saturday, May 3. The Xfinity and Cup Series will share the track for six consecutive hours of practice, qualifying, and racing.
Cup drivers will start their day with practice at 11 a.m. ET, followed by qualifying for Sunday’s 400-mile race. Kyle Larson holds the pole position advantage, thanks to his recent win in April 2024. Chase Elliott, Kyle’s teammate at Hendrick Motorsports, also had a successful outing on this track.
The Xfinity Series will take center stage at 2 p.m. ET, marking its 12th consecutive race of the 2025 season. Before that, drivers will have some downtime from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with the garage open for both series.
Track activity includes prime viewing sessions on Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Weather forecasts indicate mainly sunny skies with temperatures around 70-75 degrees and moderate winds.
