The National Guard has arrived outside an ICE facility in suburban Broadview, Illinois. About 45 Texas National Guard troops began patrols on Wednesday after President Donald Trump’s administration deployed them despite objections from Gov. JB Pritzker and local leaders. The deployment has been met with protests and a lawsuit, with the state and city calling it “patently unlawful.”
