Nebraska Wins College Basketball Crown with Dominant Performance

The University of Nebraska Cornhuskers have won the College Basketball Crown championship title, defeating UCF 77-66 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Senior Brice Williams led the team to victory, scoring a season-high 21 points and setting the single-season scoring record for the school with 713 points this season. Williams made six of 14 shots from the field, including three 3-pointers, and eight of 10 free throws.

Connor Essegian also scored 21 points, connecting on eight of 16 shots from the field, including four 3-pointers. Juwan Gary had a strong performance, scoring 20 points and adding eight rebounds. For UCF, Jordan Ivy-Curry came off the bench to score a season-high 29 points.

The Cornhuskers took an early lead in the first half, but UCF tied the game at halftime. The Knights scored the first 14 points of the second half, but Nebraska responded with a strong run led by Essegian’s back-to-back 3-pointers. The Cornhuskers never trailed again, winning the championship title behind Williams’ dominant performance.
