Neil Gaiman Accused of Sexual Assault by Multiple Women

Multiple women have come forward accusing bestselling author Neil Gaiman of sexual assault. A New York Magazine cover story, titled “There Is No Safe Word,” reports on the allegations made by eight women who claim they were subjected to non-consensual sex and BDSM activities with Gaiman.

The accusers include Scarlett Pavlovich, 22, who alleges that Gaiman sexually assaulted her while babysitting his child in New Zealand. She claims he offered her a bath naked, then joined her in the tub and proceeded to engage in sexual acts without her consent.

Another accuser, Caroline, who was in a physical relationship with Gaiman after meeting him on his property in Woodstock, N.Y., says she fell asleep reading stories to his son while Gaiman had sex with his child nearby. She claims he did not respect boundaries and initiated unwanted sexual contact.

Kendra Stout, 18, at the time of their first meeting, alleges that Gaiman raped her during a trip to the Cornish countryside despite her repeated “no”s due to a UTI.

The allegations against Gaiman have had significant repercussions for his projects. Prime Video’s “Good Omens” Season 3 will now end with one episode, and Disney paused production on its film adaptation of “The Graveyard Book.” However, it is unclear if the allegations are directly related to these developments.

Gaiman has strenuously denied all allegations against him, claiming that his relationships were consensual. His representatives have dismissed several of the accusers’ claims as false or deplorable.
