Author Neil Gaiman has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct, saying he never engaged in non-consensual activity with anyone. Multiple women have accused him of sexual assault, coercion, and misconduct, including claims that he pressured them into sex in exchange for accommodation or payment.
Gaiman denies any wrongdoing, stating his relationships were always consensual. However, many of the accusers claim they felt coerced, particularly when working as caregivers or living on Gaiman’s property. He acknowledges some moments may be unclear but insists he never engaged in non-consensual activity.
The allegations have led to the cancellation of several screen adaptations of Gaiman’s works, including Dead Boy Detectives and Good Omens due to his alleged involvement. Gaiman says he is willing to take responsibility for any mistakes but will not admit to actions he did not commit. He believes some claims are “simply never happened” or have been distorted.
In a statement published on his website, Gaiman said he refrained from speaking publicly due to respect for the accusers and a desire not to draw attention to misinformation. However, he now feels compelled to address the allegations, saying he is far from perfect but has always prioritized consent.
