Harvey Weinstein’s retrial resumed with a new accuser coming forward, claiming she was abused by the Hollywood mogul when she was just 16. Kaja Sokola, a model-turned-therapist, alleges that Weinstein forcibly performed oral sex on her in 2006. The prosecutors say she met Weinstein in 2002 and remained in contact with him until around 2006. At the time of the alleged assault, she was 19 years old.
Weinstein has consistently denied allegations of sexual misconduct, having been accused by over 80 women. In 2022, he was convicted of rape and sexual assault in California, a conviction that still stands.
