A new patch for Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is set to release on August 7, 2025, introducing several quality of life upgrades, artwork, and remixed tracks from CAP-JAMS.
Among the updates are four new unlockable characters: Maki, Yun, Eagle, and Ingrid, available in Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper. These characters can be unlocked by enabling a toggle in the game’s menu. New artwork for these characters will also be added to the game.
In Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper, players can change modes on the character select screen, altering the rules of bouts. The new patch will also enable combo routes in training mode for Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein, which can be toggled at any time.
The CAP-JAMS team has remixed several classic songs from these games, and many new artwork pieces will also be included in the update. This follows a recent patch in June 2025 that fixed various gameplay bugs. Shuhei Matsumoto previously revealed how the team decided which games to include in Capcom Fighting Collection 2.
