New Company Liberty Vote Takes Over Election Vendor Dominion

A new US-based company called Liberty Vote is being sold and rebranded from Dominion Voting Systems, a vendor falsely accused of rigging the 2020 election. Scott Leiendecker, founder of Missouri-based election technology company KNOWiNK, purchased the company this week for an undisclosed sum.

Leiendecker aims to restore public confidence in the US electoral process using paper ballots and increasing transparency in elections. He also plans to be bipartisan and has stated that Liberty Vote will deliver election technology prioritizing “paper-based transparency, security, and simplicity.”

The sale comes as President Donald Trump wants to overhaul America’s election systems, promoting the use of all-paper ballots and restricting mail-in voting. However, experts question the new company’s priorities and methods, citing concerns about their alignment with Trump’s policies and lack of expertise in the field.

Liberty Vote will maintain a presence in Canada but is now “100% American owned.” The company plans to facilitate third-party audits of its election systems, which has raised concerns among experts.
