New iPads Expected After Apple’s M4 MacBook Air Announcement

Apple is set to announce new MacBook Air models with the M4 chip soon, and new iPads are likely to follow shortly after. The M4 chip will power the next-generation MacBook Air lineup, which will be available at various Apple Stores due to low inventory levels of iPad Air and iPad 10.

However, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman believes that the new iPad models won’t be released in the same timeframe as the MacBook Air with the M4 chip. Instead, he expects them to launch sometime in March or April.

The next-generation iPads are expected to receive under-the-hood upgrades only, without significant design changes. The new devices will likely be powered by either the M3 or M4 chip, and may also feature an A16 Bionic or A17 Pro chip.

There is no confirmation on the iPad Pro’s release yet, as Apple has not announced the M5 chip. However, a new iPad mini was recently updated, and rumors suggest that it won’t receive any major changes for its next iteration.

In related news, Apple has confirmed that iOS 18.4 will be released in April, alongside new features like Apple News+. The company is also working on an upcoming iPhone series with a new camera system design, but details are still scarce.

Furthermore, Apple plans to announce the AirPods Pro 3 and an updated AirTag 2 in May or June this year. With the recent launch of the iPhone 16e, Apple reportedly plans to move on to its next product announcement soon.
