Newborn Son Survives Life-Threatening Circumcision Complications

A newborn boy’s life is fighting for survival after nearly bleeding out from complications following a routine circumcision at a New York City hospital. Cole Groth, born with a known heart disease, had a stent placed days before the procedure. His parents, Tim and Gabrielle, say they were not informed of elevated risks for children with congenital heart disease.

The day after the circumcision, Cole’s condition took a turn for the worse. He became extremely pale and cried uncontrollably, showing signs of severe bleeding. The family claims that despite 10-plus hours of medical attention, their son suffered vital organ damage, including liver, kidney, and brain damage.

Cole remains in critical condition and undergoes daily transfusions and has undergone multiple surgeries in the past week. His parents are seeking answers, calling for greater transparency from the hospital. Despite the uncertainty, they remain hopeful and focused on supporting their son’s recovery.

The hospital declined to comment on the case due to patient privacy policies. The family continues to pray, advocate for Cole, and look forward to a future where he can meet his older brother.
