NFL teams eliminated from playoff contention are ready to put up a fight as spoilers in Week 17. While my season predictions have been a dismal 11-32, I’m motivated to finish on a high note.
For quarterback Bryce Young, I predict he’ll be a Top-12 performer in Week 17 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Despite recent production and a favorable matchup, he’s only ranked QB22 in expert consensus rankings. However, since Week 12, Young has been the QB11 in fantasy points per game, showcasing his improving form. With a matchup against the Bucs, who have struggled to contain quarterbacks this season, I expect Young to push for a top-12 finish.
Two Green Bay Packers wide receivers will reach at least 60 receiving yards with a touchdown. The Vikings’ high-powered offense will force the Packers to keep up, and Jordan Love is well-equipped to handle it. Since Week 13, the Vikings have allowed the fourth-most passing yards per game and five passing touchdowns per game, making this a favorable matchup for Green Bay’s WRs.
Lastly, Bucky Irving is poised to exceed 20 half point per reception in Week 17 against the Panthers. Carolina’s unserious run defense will struggle to contain him, making this a bold prediction for his scoring output.
