The Utah Hockey Club has dropped “Utah Wasatch” from consideration after fan voting showed little support, opting instead to move forward with “Utah Outlaws”. The team had previously tried to use the name alongside Yeti Coolers LLC but was denied due to the risk of confusion. In a surprise twist, fans were given the opportunity to vote on three names: Utah Hockey Club, Utah Mammoth, and Utah Wasatch. Despite Mammoth’s initial success in last year’s fan vote, Wasatch failed to gain traction. The team will continue voting at home games until Sunday to determine the final name.
