Nicki Minaj is being sued by her former day-to-day manager, Brandon Garrett, who accuses her of assault and battery. The lawsuit claims that Garrett was upset when Minaj found out he had allowed someone else to pick up her prescription, leading her to threaten his husband’s safety.
Garrett alleges that Minaj yelled at him, calling him “crazy” and saying his life would be ruined if her husband were present. He also claims she physically attacked him, hitting him with an open hand on the face, which caused his hat to fly off his head.
According to Garrett, he was forced to hide in a bathroom for fear of his safety before being left stranded at Little Caesars Arena by Minaj’s team. The lawsuit seeks damages for emotional distress and other claims.
As of press time, Minaj and her team have not responded to the lawsuit.
