Nike is set to raise prices on a range of products as soon as this week due to impending tariffs that will hit its profits. The company, which imports half of its footwear from China and Vietnam, has seen its profits under pressure since the tariffs took effect.
The price hikes, which will come into effect by June 1, will affect a significant portion of Nike’s product range. Prices for adult merchandise, including footwear priced between $100-$150, will increase by $5-$10, while apparel and equipment prices will rise by $2-$10.
However, some products will remain unchanged, including children’s items and those under $100. The company has taken steps to avoid passing on the increased costs to families during the back-to-school season.
Nike’s iconic Air Force 1 shoes, priced at $115, will also remain unaffected. The decision comes amid concerns over tariffs, which are expected to impact Nike’s profit margins. To offset this effect, the company is increasing prices on its products.
