Comedian Nikki Glaser made headlines during the 2025 Golden Globes by poking fun at celebrities like Diddy, Ben Affleck, and Timothée Chalamet with her monologue. However, not all of her jokes made it to air.
Glaser appeared on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM radio show the morning after the ceremony to share some of the harsher punchlines she decided not to say on live television. One joke that didn’t make the cut was about Diddy, which poked fun at his rape and sex trafficking allegations. The joke was cut due to concerns it might alienate people involved in the scandal.
Glaser did address the issue with a joke about “Challengers” being more sexually charged than Diddy’s credit card. She also made jokes about other celebrities like Adrien Brody, who she jokingly referred to as a “two-time Holocaust survivor.” However, she cut a part of another joke that referenced baby Hitler.
The comedian also had some riskier punchlines in store for nominees like Nicole Kidman and Timothée Chalamet. Although one Kidman joke did make it into the monologue, Glaser originally wanted to roast her with a joke about two white wines. For Chalamet’s mustache, Glaser opted to poke fun at it instead of using a joke that compared him to Bob Dylan.
One notable cut was an Alec Baldwin “Rust” joke that referenced cinematographer Halyna Hutchins’ death, which made light of Michael Keaton’s role in “Beetlejuice.” Glaser acknowledged that the joke was mean-spirited and didn’t make it into the monologue.
Glaser also avoided roasting Matt Gaetz with a joke about his payment history. However, she did poke fun at another box office flop, “Joker: Folie à Deux,” by saying its audience wasn’t present.
Despite cutting some of her riskier jokes, Glaser’s Golden Globes hosting stint was widely praised. The broadcast’s executive producer said the team would be open to having her return in the future.
