Rumor specialist Nikon Rumors has predicted that two new Nikon cameras are expected to launch in 2025. The top of the list is a replacement for the discontinued Nikon Coolpix P1000, a popular bridge camera with an impressive 24-3000mm equivalent zoom range. With prices of the P1000 skyrocketing, there’s clear demand for a similar camera.
A Nikon Z9 replacement, badged as the Z9 II, is also “definitely coming,” according to Nikon Rumors. However, the website notes that it might not arrive in 2025 due to the original Z9 still selling well as Nikon’s flagship camera for pros.
The rumor mill also suggests a new Z-series video camera with a modular design and no pentaprism, similar to RED’s high-end video cameras. A replacement for the Nikon Z5 is less likely, according to Nikon Rumors, which has heard nothing about a Z5 II in recent times.
It’s essential to note that these are just rumors and may not materialize or be entirely surprising if Nikon were to unveil something new.
