Ninja Pressure Cooker Recall Over 100 Burn Injuries Reported

SharkNinja is recalling over 2 million Ninja-branded pressure cookers sold in the US and Canada due to reports of serious burn injuries. The affected cookers, “Foodi OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cookers,” have a lid that can be opened while in use, causing hot contents to escape and posing serious burn risks.

According to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, there have been 106 reported burn injuries, including 50 second- or third-degree burns to the face or body. The company has received 26 lawsuits and urges consumers to stop using the pressure-cooking function immediately.

Consumers can request a free replacement lid by contacting SharkNinja or visiting their recall page online. The affected cookers were sold between early 2019 and spring 2025 at major retailers such as Walmart, Costco, Amazon, and Target. Consumers can check if their cooker is impacted by checking its product label for specific model numbers.
