The highly-anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 is just months away from its official showcase. Although announced in January, the successor handheld’s launch date has not been confirmed yet.
According to a recent leak, the console’s release might occur as early as late March or early April, with potential launch dates including April 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th. However, this information is unconfirmed and should be taken with caution.
The leak also revealed that pre-orders will not be available immediately, as the console’s launch date coincides with the upcoming Nintendo Direct event in April. The seller claimed that the Switch 2 would retail for approximately $450 USD, equivalent to HK$3500, but this has not been officially confirmed by Nintendo.
Notably, Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa previously stated that the company aims to avoid scalpers and stock shortages, suggesting a large supply of consoles. However, content creator Jake Randall claims that pre-orders will be available with “near 100% certainty.”
