Nintendo Switch 2 Design Leaked With Larger Screen and Joy-Cons

Nintendo Switch 2’s design has been leaked by carrying case maker Dbrand, which claims to have created a 3D render of the device based on actual dimensions of the hardware. The leak reveals several key features, including an 8-inch screen (compared to the Switch OLED’s 7.2-inch and Switch’s 6.2-inch displays), extra “C” button on the right Joy-Con, magnetically-detachable Joy-Cons with a more pronounced curve, and top and bottom USB-C ports.

The leaked design also features a wide U-shaped kickstand similar to the Switch OLED’s improved stand, but unlike it, the Switch 2 appears to have an IPS LCD screen (1080p) rather than OLED. Dbrand’s case design for the Switch 2 is said to be striking and separates into parts to accommodate detachable Joy-Cons.

The leak comes ahead of Nintendo’s rumored Q1 2025 launch date for the Switch 2, which seems to indicate a significant evolution from the Switch OLED. With less than four months until the expected release, carrying case manufacturers like Dbrand are already ramping up production and hype.
