The Nintendo Switch 2 is expected to be fully revealed on April 2nd, and insiders are sharing details about its launch strategy. According to those in attendance at this year’s GDC, the console will launch in June, with a three-phase approach for game releases.
First-party games from Nintendo will be released alongside the console’s launch, with third-party studios expected to follow in October-November. The final phase of game releases is scheduled for the holiday period.
Insider Gaming has also confirmed that select media and creators will attend an upcoming hands-on event with the Switch 2, allowing them to play the console and some of its games before its official release.
Nintendo plans to announce a launch price and details during the upcoming GDC event. However, it remains unclear what content will be included in a planned Nintendo Direct later this week.
