Nintendo has announced that it will remove the classic game Super Formation Soccer from its Japan-only Nintendo Switch Online service on March 28. The game, which was first released in 1991 for the Super Famicom console, is a third-party property, and no reason has been given for its removal. The move marks the first time a third-party game will be delisted from the service since its launch in 2018. Nintendo’s license to the game may have expired, but it’s unclear if other third-party titles like Ninja Gaiden, River City Ransom, and Ghosts ‘n Goblins will follow suit.
