No. 2 Florida Beats Oklahoma 85-63 in SEC Play

No. 2 Florida steamrolled Oklahoma 85-63 on Tuesday night, with the Gators’ backcourt stars Walter Clayton Jr., Will Richard, and Alijah Martin combining for 46 points. The win marked the fifth consecutive victory for the team and tied a season-low of six turnovers.

The Gators, who played without starting forward Alex Condon and backup Sam Alexis, improved to 13-1 at home and remained undefeated in their current streak despite injuries and absences. Clayton scored 18 points, Richard added 14, and Martin contributed 14 off the bench. They made 15 of 31 shots from the field, including nine 3-pointers.

Oklahoma’s fifth consecutive loss came amid a tough stretch against four ranked teams, with each loss by at least 18 points. The Sooners’ Jeremiah Fears led the team with 22 points and five rebounds.

The Gators have shown resilience in handling their most adversity of the season without a hiccup. They hit five 3-pointers to highlight a 17-3 run that turned a six-point game into a lopsided affair in the first half. The win keeps Florida atop the SEC standings, tied with Alabama for first place.
