North Carolina Reports 40 Influenza Deaths This Season

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services has reported a total of 40 influenza deaths this season. All of these deaths have occurred in adults, with most cases affecting individuals aged 65 years or older. There have been eight additional deaths among adults between the ages of 56 and 64. Additionally, two deaths were recorded in people between 25 and 49 years old. The department is tracking the total number of deaths from October 5, 2024 to September 27, as shown on an updated graph available on their website.
