Several cities have postponed or canceled their holiday activities due to the weather forecast, including Mesquite’s Christmas in the Park event, which has been rescheduled for December 14-15. Irving has also rescheduled its outdoor activities and tree lighting ceremony to Tuesday, while Richardson canceled its annual Christmas parade altogether.
The National Weather Service in Fort Worth predicts a brief warmup before a strong cold front pushes through the region on Monday night. This will bring dry and seasonally cool temperatures mid-week, followed by warmer conditions towards the end of the week.
