The highly anticipated 2024 remake of “Nosferatu” is set to arrive on streaming services in late January. Directed by Robert Eggers, the film tells the story of an obsession between a young woman and a terrifying vampire infatuated with her.
Starring Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, and Bill Skarsgård, the movie marks a significant departure from the original 1922 German expressionist horror. According to USA Today, Eggers kept the core material intact but made several changes, including turning up the “sexual undertones” and fleshing out side characters.
The remake has already proven successful, earning $40.8 million since its debut on Christmas Day. Fans eager to watch it from home can expect to stream it on Peacock in early February.
For those who prefer to own or rent the film, Apple TV and Prime Video are among the services where they can purchase or rent “Nosferatu 2024.” Additionally, fans of earlier versions can stream the original 1922 film on Apple TV, as well as watch the 1979 remake on Amazon Prime.
