Nothing Announces March 4 Launch for “Phone (3a) Series”

Nothing Phone (3a) series will launch on March 4, ending speculation about the phone’s budget or flagship status. The “series” implies that more than one device is launching simultaneously, potentially including Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Plus. A teaser video hints at a similar design to Phone (2a), with a centered camera module surrounded by Glyph lighting sections.

Nothing co-founder clarifies the focus for the Phone (3a) series: “We’re focused on core user needs in terms of camera, screen, processor, and design.” This suggests that the series is aimed at users seeking great user experience rather than the latest innovations.

A leaked hands-on image shows a better look at the new camera module, featuring two lenses and a suspected telephoto lens, mirroring Google’s Pixel 7 Pro design. However, the final design will likely differ.

Nothing also teases its first telephoto camera for the Phone (3a) series and hints at a potential bigger display. The company has announced Android 15 for the $200 CMF Phone 1 in the past.
