Nothing has launched its new Phone 3A and 3A Pro at MWC 2025, bringing a fresh dose of fun and affordability to the market. The base model starts at $379, while the Pro version costs $459.
The design is where these phones truly stand out, with an industrial look featuring glass backs, screws, and LED lights that alert you to notifications. Both models have bright 6.7-inch displays and IP68 water resistance, making them suitable for use in various environments.
Under the hood, both phones are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, delivering decent performance considering their price. The Phone 3A Pro has a more advanced camera system with periscope zoom, but overall, the main difference between the two models is the added features of the Pro version.
The phone’s interface is built on Android 15 and comes with a customizable monochrome aesthetic. While it may take some getting used to, the Gemini Advanced AI tool – called Essential Space – allows users to store thoughts, notes, and ideas throughout the day. This feature shows promise but feels limited for now.
In terms of photography, the Phone 3A Pro offers better periscope zoom capabilities than its base model counterpart. However, if photography isn’t a priority, the base model still provides excellent performance at an affordable price.
Ultimately, both phones offer a solid experience with AI-powered features and affordability in mind. With Samsung’s newly announced Galaxy A26 and A36 models on the horizon, it might be worth waiting to see how these new devices stack up against Nothing’s offerings before making a purchase.
