Nothing Phone 3a and Pro First Look: Budget Powerhouse Revealed

Nothing has officially unveiled its two new budget phones, the Phone 3a and Phone 3a Pro. On display here at MWC 2025, these upcoming devices are generating excitement among tech enthusiasts.

The Nothing Phone 3a features a Glyph interface with decorative lights that also serve as alerts with unique flashing patterns. The phone’s rear design houses a circular camera section with a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide lens on both models. The Phone 3a Pro, however, boasts more evenly spaced cameras around the circle, suggesting larger sensors.

A new “Essential Key” on the side allows for screencaps and audio recordings, while a powerful Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset provides AI capabilities via its NPU. This powerhouse chip is also present in the Phone 3a Pro, which is rumored to have a periscope zoom feature.

The phones are expected to arrive with features like 6.72-inch OLED displays, 120Hz refresh rates, and up to 12GB of RAM. Both models will likely use 5,000 mAh batteries, promising impressive battery life results.

While details on pricing and availability remain scarce, these budget-friendly options look poised to challenge the market. With their powerful specs and Nothing’s reputation for innovative features, it remains to be seen whether they’ll secure a spot in our best cheap phones guide.
