Notion, a productivity software company, acquired Skiff, an encrypted email and productivity startup, in February 2024. A year later, Notion discontinued Skiff’s email service, including the @skiff.com email addresses. Now, Notion is shutting down its own Gmail client, Notion Mail, on September 22.
Notion launched Notion Mail with a goal to integrate AI into users’ inboxes. However, due to increased use of AI agents within Notion, many users are now managing emails without opening their inbox.
