Nuggets Injury Update: Jokic, Murray Miss Second Straight Game

Denver Nuggets stars Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray sat out against the Los Angeles Lakers for the second consecutive game due to nagging injuries. Coach Michael Malone said Christian Braun would play, despite also missing Monday’s win at Golden State with left foot inflammation.

Jokic, a three-time MVP dealing with left ankle impingement and a contusion on his right elbow, was “much more questionable” than Murray, who has a sprained right ankle. When asked if the team is resting Jokic and Murray, Malone dismissed the idea, saying he trusts their bodies and training staff.

Malone pointed out that Jokic has played in 70 of the last 80 games, earning him the second-most playing time in the NBA over the past decade. The coach emphasized his commitment to finding the best solution for all players, not just Jokic, as they strive to secure a playoff spot.
