Nvidia Delays RTX 5070 Launch to Counter AMD Event

Nvidia has announced that it will delay the launch of its highly anticipated RTX 5070 graphics card from February to March 5th, giving it more time to prepare a response to AMD’s upcoming Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT event.

The move comes after AMD had previously revealed its lineup for the event, which appears to be targeting Nvidia’s existing 4070 Ti and 4070 Super levels of performance. However, with its own products now shipping ahead of schedule, including the $749 RTX 5070 Ti on February 20th, Nvidia has more wiggle room to counter AMD’s offerings.

Nvidia’s CEO can potentially use price as a competitive tool, given that AMD is expected to focus on value rather than raw performance. However, rumors suggest that AMD may be working on a more potent card with 32GB of RAM, which could change the dynamics of the market.

It remains to be seen how Nvidia will respond to these developments and what its strategy will be for the RTX 5070 launch in March.
