Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-Series GPUs Now Available, But Hard to Find

Nvidia has released its new GeForce RTX 50-Series graphics cards, including the RTX 5070 Ti. However, finding one in stock at major retailers like Amazon and Best Buy is proving to be difficult.

The flagship card, the RTX 5090, comes with a hefty price tag of $2,000 and requires a 1,000-watt power supply. Despite its high demands, it offers improved performance and compact size compared to its predecessor. The RTX 5080 is also available, priced at $1,000 and claimed to be twice as fast as the RTX 4080.

The budget-friendly option is the RTX 5070, which offers comparable performance to the RTX 4090 at nearly a third of the price. The RTX 5070 Ti sits between the RTX 5070 and 5080 in terms of price and performance.

Nvidia’s latest machine learning technology, including RTX Neural Shaders and DLSS 4 upscaling, is used to achieve these benchmarks. While AI upscaling can match hardware rendering in terms of quantity, it also comes with tradeoffs in terms of quality. However, Nvidia is actively working to address these issues.

The standard 5070 GPU is expected to release before the end of February. RTX 50-Series laptop GPUs are also on the way and expected to launch in March.
